Round & About

If you’re holiday-ing, working, or just looking for ways to entertain yourself in Wandsworth, then read on.

Whether it’s getting lost in all the stalls of the famous Borough Market, catching all the Rugby match atmosphere at Twickenham Stadium, or simply going for a relaxing stroll around Clapham Common, our beautiful pub & rooms is the perfect place to start your trip. Just 15 minutes by train to London Waterloo you can soak up all the city sites.

Old York Road

Just one minutes mooch from the Brewers Inn is the charming Old York road.

Populated with small independent shops, high-end charity shop, eateries and cafes that spill onto the street. A perfect place to meander through exploring home-made wares, and to enjoy a coffee in the sun.

Borough Market

Borough Market is London’s most renowned food and drink market.

It’s rich with history, but it remains as on-trend now as it has ever been. As London’s oldest food market, it has been fattening up the people of Southwark for 1,000 years, and that extraordinary heritage is an important part of its appeal. A day trip to the market should definitely be on your London Bucket List.

Clapham Common

Just a 25 minute stroll away, you’ll find 220 acres of beautiful grassy land to escape the London hustle and bustle.

It has three ponds, a running track, bowling green, skate park and football pitches and also plays host to an array of events, including SW4 music festival and Winterville. Our favourite spot in the ‘hood is the wonderful Windmill, Clapham, run by our pal Ben. It’s ideal for one of Head Chef Hamoun’s beefed up brunch dishes, or a swift pint in the garden before you stroll back to the Brewers.

Twickenham Stadium

The Home of England Rugby, Twickenham Stadium is the largest dedicated rugby union venue in the world (we know, right?) and it seats an impressive 82,000 spectators.

Just 25 minutes away by train, you can soak up the electric atmosphere of a live match, book a stadium tour, visit the world rugby museum or watch some of the biggest names in the world of music perform.
